POMA is excited to open a new chapter for our annual conference - we are moving to Kalahari in the Poconos!  The family-friendly resort offers an indoor waterpark, mini golf, bowling, escape rooms, arcades and so much more!  Make the move with us and bring the family for an exciting new experience!
The planning committees are designing the 2023 conference with you in mind!  All lectures will be presented live, in-person at Kalahari May 3-6.  They will be recorded and converted into a virtual, on-demand format in mid-May for remote participation until June 15, 2023.  Registration fees are the same for both options.  There is an additional fee for in-person registrants who also want on-demand access due to production and processing costs.  Note: This year's event is not offered as a live simulcast.

The education committee is working hard to develop this year's program. Click here to view the tentative schedule!  Regardless of how you participate (live, in-person or virtually, on-demand), we can assure you that both options meet the requirements for Category 1-A AOA CME credit. The content experts (our speakers) are available both in-person and virtually to respond to your questions/comments on the content presented. This is what enables us to award 1-A AOA credit!
In total, 34 Category 1-A AOA CME Credits and 34 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM are available, including courses applicable to Pennsylvania's mandated reporter training, opioid education and patient safety licensure requirements.  Our goal is to provide you the most affordable, high-quality osteopathic education experience in the country.  For just $17 per credit, earn the credits you need with POMA!

Conference registration and the Kalahari room block are open!  A limited number of discounted rooms are available for in-person conference participants, which includes waterpark access.  Don't wait - these rooms will go fast!

Education Program
Start Pennsylvania's new licensure cycle off on the right foot and make plans to attend POMA23!  This year's conference will offer up to 34 Category 1A AOA CME credits and 34 AMA PRA Category 1TM Credits, which includes patient safety, opioid and child abuse education required for state licensure.  View the tentative schedule.

Our expert faculty will present cutting-edge medical updates and information that you can apply immediately in your practice to benefit your patients.  Over the course of four days, all of the lectures will be presented live, in-person at Kalahari with plenty of time for Q&A.  We're also offering the BLS course for those who need certified.

Presentations will be recorded and converted into an on-demand format that will be available beginning May 15 and must be completed within 30 days.  Participants will still have the ability to interact with our faculty while viewing on-demand which enables us to award Category 1-A AOA credit.  Platform access will be provided on May 12.  Note, this is a different format than previous years - no simulcast option is available.

CME Accreditation Statement
POMA is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians.  POMA is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.  POMA designates this program for a maximum of 34 AOA Category 1-A Credits and 34 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM and will report CME and specialty credit commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation in this activity.

Social & Networking Events
We are excited to bring people together at our new conference home!

All conference participants and their families are invited to join us on Wednesday evening for our Welcome Reception.  Dress is casual

POMA's Wellness Committee is taking advantage of the outdoor walking trials by coordinating a morning walk on Thursday morning.  If there's interest, it will be offered on Friday and Saturday, as well.

Friday evening, we will celebrate incoming president John Kalata, DO.  We are hosting a reception followed by dinner and dancing with a live band - all are invited!  Dress is semiformal/black-tie optional.  Bring your dancing shoes for a fun night out!

In keeping with the family friendly environment, POMA is exploring the option of offering child care services Friday evening during the President's Celebration.  At this time, we are collecting information on the conference registration form.  Additional information will be provided soon!
