Outside of POMA main officeThe Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association (POMA) is a divisional society of the American Osteopathic Association.

POMA is the official voice for over 12,300 licensed osteopathic physicians, residents, interns and plus 2,600 students in Pennsylvania.

 

POMA's Purpose Statement
The purpose of the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association is to promote public health:

  • By the elevation and maintenance of high standards of osteopathic education;
  • By the stimulation of research and investigation;
  • By the collection and dissemination of such knowledge for the education and improvement of the profession and for the benefit of humanity.

POMA's Mission Statement
POMA's mission is to promote the distinctive philosophy and practice of osteopathic medicine for our patients, our members, and the communities we serve.

POMA's Vision Statement
The Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association is a uniquely osteopathic physician community dedicated to promoting quality education, excellence in practice, state-wide advocacy and personal well-being.
