What is POMPAC?
POMPAC is POMAs Political Action Committee (PAC) and is the political voice of POMA.

What does POMPAC do?
POMPAC takes in monetary donations from DOs across the state and contributes those funds to targeted state candidates for public office.

Why do we need POMPAC?
The simple fact is, in order to be elected, candidates must spend money on campaign-related expenses. POMA has many friends in the state elected office holders that support DOs and the excellent patient care they provide. POMPAC provides monetary donations to assist targeted candidates with their election efforts.

Who does POMPAC give donations to?
POMPAC is a bipartisan PAC and is overseen by a Committee of POMA members. The POMPAC committee members govern all political giving by POMPAC. State law requires that every donation from a PAC be recorded and reported every quarter. The state publishes reports on the website public consumption. It is a very transparent process.

How can I contribute to POMPAC?
Contributing to POMPAC is simple. You can contribute either by personal check or credit card. There is an online option and a paper option. Contributions can be made as frequently as you'd like - monthly, quarterly, biannually, annually. Please note, POMPAC is not able to accept corporate contributions, nor are donations tax deductible.

POMPAC Annual Contribution Tiers
POMPAC puts every dollar it receives to work towards the ultimate goal of raising the political visibility of Osteopathic Medicine in Pennsylvania state government. The POMPAC annual giving tiers recognize contributors from the first dollar in contributions. POMAPAC announces new contributors names and their corresponding contribution tier to the entire POMA membership in the POMA publication, Under the DOme, every quarter.

Circle Awards for Lifetime Contributions to POMPAC
POMPAC keeps a running record of all contributions made by POMA members.  POMPAC established a lifetime contribution circle of giving to recognize those POMA members who have made cumulative contributions at a significant level.  These Osteopathic physicians have achieved the highest honor POMPAC established to recognize those who steadfastly support political action on behalf of Osteopathic physicians and their patients.

Michael F. Avallone, Sr., DO Award Circle - $7,500
Michael F. Avallone, Sr., DO served as a leader in POMA, POFPS and ACOFP. He was recognized by his peers as inspirational, intimidating, direct, and passionate about the osteopathic profession. Dr. Avallone’s passion for the osteopathic profession was unparalleled and one he shared with elected officials. This level of giving identified as the Michael F. Avallone, Sr., DO Award Circle recognizes those individuals with commitment and ideals that embody this philosophy and passion.

Carlo J. DiMarco, DO Award Circle - $5,000
Carlo J. DiMarco, DO served as a leader in POMA and AOA holding each association's highest honor as President and leading both with dignity and vision.  He was universally respected as an advocate for the Osteopathic profession and worked tirelessly to preserve the Osteopathic identity and its heritage. This level of giving identified as the Carlo J. DiMarco, DO Award Circle recognizes those individuals with the commitment and ideals that follow along with those of this great leader for the Osteopathic profession.
