To help kick off Child Passenger Safety Awareness Week, POMA District 11 partnered with the Orwigsburg Police Department to provide free car seat checks for the community on September 23. On Wednesday, May 16, 2018, POMA’s District 11 met at the Oak Hill Inn for a CME dinner. Angela Zawisza, DO, gave a lecture to the group on common pediatric infectious diseases. This was followed by a presentation on the meningitis B vaccination. After these presentations, the group had a discussion on pharmaceutical advertising to the general public and the appropriateness and inappropriateness of this. This was an enjoyable debate and we enjoyed the sharing of differing opinions.
