1. What was the general understanding of the purpose of the project/program by the participants?

Our residents felt that this activity was a great opportunity to reduce stress, foster a sense of work-leisure balance, and overall enhance the quality of resident life.

2. Why did you choose the specific wellness project/activity?
This specific activity was chosen because we wanted to not only exercise mental heath wellness, but also physical wellness. Generally, through our practice as family doctors, we emphasize daily exercise to our patients, we wanted to hold ourselves to the same standards and had fun while doing it.

3. During the project/program, what tangible tools or strategies were demonstrated or taught to address wellness and life balance?During this project and we were able to demonstrate that developing positive habits through exercise leads to a healthier, more balanced lifestyle. We were able to incorporate proper trampolining techniques, breathing exercises into the activity.

4. What do you intend to do, upon returning to work, that you learned and practiced during the activity, that will improve your response to stressful situations?
Many of us residents already incorporate exercise into our daily lives, however this activity showed us that there are ways to make exercising fun. Some residents expressed interest in incorporating the trampoline park into their regular routine, others stated that they would bring their families to the park to participate in those activities.

5. What can POMA do to address wellness and life balance for your future?
POMA can enhance resident wellness by continuing to offer grants for programs. We believe it would be helpful to implement some sort of wellness evaluation to identify stressors and areas for improvement. This would allow programs and POMA to implement interventions to resolve these issues.
