Mandated Reporter Training

The University of Pittsburgh’s Child Welfare Resource Center offers a free, 3-hour web-based training for mandated and permissive reporters approved in accordance with Act 126 of 2012 and Act 31 of 2014.

Upon course completion, your credits will be submitted to the Pennsylvania Department of State on the next business day. Processing time for your state board is typically 7–10 days. You can monitor your license status through the PALS website under the “Continued Education” section.

Drug overdose is a leading cause of preventable death in the United States, and overdose prevention remains a CDC priority affecting families and communities nationwide.

To assist clinicians, the CDC has developed several trainings focused on patient-centered care related to pain management, opioid use disorder, substance use disorders, and motivational interviewing. Many of these trainings offer free continuing education.
