District 3 Recap - September 18, 2018

District 3 September Meeting

Always check the feet! Even if the patient doesn’t want you to, you find a way. The feet are strong indicators of diabetic symptoms and complications. This useful tip was delivered by Rehab Tabchi, DO, District Chair of POMA District 3 during a one-hour CME event in Orefield on September 18th.

Providers must continue to educate their patients on how to take control of their own health and care management. The patients must understand activeness, nutrition, environment, and social support systems all affect the patient’s health and diabetes risk.

District 3 Recap - May 2, 2018

POMA District 3 members participated in a product theater presentation and meeting prior to the POMA House of Delegates at the POMA Clinical Assembly. The members were updated on future district events as well the happenings during the POMA Clinical Assembly. The group was ecstatic that one of their own, Gloria Fliakos, DO, would be nominated to serve as Young Physician Trustee to the POMA Board of Trustees.

POMA District 3 members met on Tuesday, April 10 at Kingfish American Bistro in Bethlehem, PA. The meetings presentation was given by Ronald D’Agostino, DO and focused on putting Repatha into practice.

District 3 Recap - March 28, 2018

District 3 March 2018 meeting

POMA District 3 members gathered at the Blue Grillhouse in Bethlehem on March 28. Frank Romascavage, DO, led the lecture on pure EPA and its effectiveness. His first-hand knowledge and personal stories engaged the group and led to a lively Q&A session, where members discussed different scenarios in order to learn how to better care for their patients.

District 3 Meeting

POMA members gathered at MELT Restaurant in Center Valley on February 21,2018. Dr. Rehab Tabchi opened the meeting by discussing the happenings in other districts around social based events and CME opportunities. She emphasized the TWO FREE LOCAL POMA sponsored CME conferences coming up on March 3 in Scranton and Pottsville. These are great events to get free 1A CME in their neighborhood.
